Question 1

What is a FIFO roster calendar?

Accepted Answer

A FIFO roster calendar shows your swing (on-site) and R&R (home) periods laid out across a full year, with Australian state public holidays overlaid so you can see at a glance when holidays fall during your time on or off site.

Question 2

Which FIFO roster patterns have calendar pages?

Accepted Answer

FIFO Planner has calendar pages for the 2/1 (2 weeks on, 1 week off), 3/1 (3 weeks on, 1 week off), 4/2 (4 weeks on, 2 weeks off), 8/6 (8 days on, 6 days off), and 7/7 (7 days on, 7 days off) roster patterns for 2026 and 2027. Coverage varies by pattern: 2/1 and 3/1 cover WA, QLD, NT, SA, NSW and VIC in 2026, the others cover the main mining states, and 2027 is shorter.

Question 3

How do I find which public holidays fall on my R&R?

Accepted Answer

Select your roster pattern and state from the calendar index below. Each calendar page lists the public holidays for that state and year. FIFO Planner's app also overlays holidays directly on your live roster so you can see them alongside your exact swing dates.

Question 4

Are the public holidays on these calendar pages accurate?

Accepted Answer

Holiday dates follow the Fair Work Ombudsman's 2026 and 2027 public holiday lists, which are built from each state's own list, and were checked on 2026-10-03. Some dates can still change, so confirm with your state government before making travel or leave plans.
